Cruising
« on: April 10, 2005 - 06:27:10 PM »
Got the Challenger out Friday night, on the way to my buddy's place for some more or less cosmetic tweaking. She's running as sweet as ever. Had her up to 100mph, the ride was as smooth as silk. All the thumbs up while driving didn't hurt either! Stopped at a bar later that evening, all kinds of people had to come out and look. All of them were very complimentary and envious - kinda made me realize how fortunate we really are in owning one ( or more ) of these sweet pieces of MOPAR history. Anyway, we're fine tuning the last of the odds and ends, getting ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour. That is looking to be a lot of serious fun!

From what I understand, Power Tour is a blast! 70RTdt, are you going to do the whole thing or just run a section?

GoMango - yeah, my buddy and I are leaving from Milwaukee, WI on Sunday morning, going to Springfield IL , then on to Indianapolis Raceway Park. We are going to be heading home from IN on Wednesday morning, June 7. I'd love to do the whole tour, but time and finances just don't permit. This will be my first time on it. And yes, I hear that the Power Tour is a total blast! I've heard from people on previous tours that sometimes the cops in certain states will allow you to just light 'em up as you are on the on-ramp to a freeway. Is that cool or what? Are you planning on going on a part of the tour yourself?
