trip to michigan
« on: January 20, 2014 - 09:58:55 PM »
So I go up and see 4Cruizin today to buy a windshield trim set for the 70 cuda. Pretty nice trip and a heck of a guy. Dudes got a couple of really nice cars. Even got a free lunch out of the deal. That danged watch dog was scary though! :roflsmiley:

Ya, Toby will rip the average man to shreds.   :roflsmiley:  All 3 1/2 pounds of him.  :smilielol:  Good dog.. and his
pops is a good guy too.... till he starts barking as passers-by.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

The weather was actually pretty good. Snow in the ditches but roads were clear, 80 mph all the way. did in it 4 hrs. I started in Central Indiana at 36 degrees and the temp dropped steadily during the trip down to 28 degrees at Daves house and then reverse on the way home. hoping to get to Carlyle this year and meet you all. Its always neat to put faces to people you have never seen but have communicated with via phone, text or E-Mail. For some reason I expected Dave to be shorter, heavier and scruffier, but he actually cleaned up pretty good. Never expected Toby at all. Not a dog I would expect a man that drives a 1973 Cuda with a stroked BB, 4 speed to have on his lap. Maybe a pit or mastiff. But he is definitely a pretty cool dog, and spoiled rotten.

We had a good time talking MOPARS and Rattlesnake was a good down to earth guy!  I took him over to my other garage to show him the convertible first after a visit to the bank and then home to show him the hardtop!  I had just moved the car from one side of the garage to the other so I had the battery still hooked up and fired it for him to hear!  The stroker sure does sound sweet!

As for my kid . . . yeah he is one mean SOB!  lol  I don't think he even barked once . . .

For those that don't know me . . . been on the site for 10 years now.  I have a 1970 Barracuda convertible with a 440 auto and a shaker hood.  This car is not original and I made it the way I wanted . . . paid 8K for the car and completely restored it with some help from Chryco.  Then I also have the first car I ever bought and paid $1800 for it in 1982.   It is a 1973 cuda, original black on black 340 4 speed.  It now sports a 500 ci stroker with a hemi 4 speed and dana.  I still have the original drive train and one day I will put it back into the car and make it original once again.  But for now,  :burnout:

Here is a picture of both cars and my killer watchdog!
