Newbie from Wisconsin
« on: January 06, 2014 - 07:35:39 PM »
Hi everybody, I'm Brandon. I live in Southern Wisconsin at the Illinois state line. I do not have a Cuda but hope have one to call my own some day. As a teenager I would go to car shows with my grandpa who had a true 70 Hemi Cuda, it was Lemon twist yellow with a 4-speed, black vinyl top, 3 inch exhaust with flowmaster 30 series mufflers, 3:54 dana 60 rear end, shaker hood. I spent countless hours in the passenger seat and countless hours cleaning it after the shows lol. He also had a 70 AAR Cuda Burnt orange with a 4 speed. He had other cars as well but those are the Cuda's he had. I'm a certified mechanic and work at a local dealership. I am hoping to find a Cuda project to restore myself.

Definitely is in the genes. He sold the cars a few years before he past away so I'm looking forward to bringing another one into the family.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I would have loved to be able to get those cars from him, I tried but he wouldn't sell them to me since I was only 18 when he sold them. Must have figured I would have gotten myself into some trouble or something?  :grinyes: My grandpa definitely loved his Mopar's. I'm glad it rubbed off on me as well.

Welcome to the site!

With cars like those it's not hard to see why some of the Cuda fever rubbed off on you!
