Where can I find info on where my 70 Cuda was purchased new?
« on: December 07, 2013 - 09:34:52 PM »
Hello, I just purchased a 1970 Cuda V code all original Sublime green car. I would like to find out where the car sold new at, such as dealer name and city/state. I have left emails for several of the Mopar gurus but apparently they don't read nor answer them. Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

You would need documentation like First owner registration, dealer work orders form , window sticker.
I am fortunate to have all of the documentation, owners, dealer, etc for both my AAR and 1970 Gran Coupe.
My Gran Coupe first owners were Donald and Joan Crawford  Fresno Ca.  dam not movie star.

I will try to locate the dealers listings I found on the Internet.

I found the original owner of my car from info in the manual in the glove box. Check my post "cool stuff I got in the mail" in Off Topic part of the forum. There was also a card for the stereo system the second owner installed. Does the person you purchased it from know anything about it's previous history?

I don't have any paperwork from previous owners, I got the name of one owner from the person I got the car from and I called but he didn't remember anything about it but that he had owned it. I did find out a restoration shop that specializes in Mopars in Michigan did the rotisserie restoration which started back in 2006. Thanks for your help and I will keep searching.

Can you use the "vehicle order number" from the fender tag or broadcast sheet and the Chrysler Historical Society to figure it out? Or would you need the computer punch card for them to determine which dealer ordered the car?
Cheers!
