Wiper Linkage_Transmission Install?
« on: January 08, 2014 - 01:47:27 AM »
What's the best way to install a 3-speed wiper linkage/transmission so as NOT to cause any "damage" to the new paint?  When I took it out, it was extremely tight fitting through the cowl screen holes.  I would think there's a way to get it back in without scratching the paint, but thought I'd check with you guys for advice.  Thanks.

I haven't reinstalled mine yet,  but first bit of advise would be to mask off the openings with painter's tape.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Got the linkage in.  Regarding the bracket that attaches to the wiper motor (see photo).  Can someone confirm if I have the linkage bracket oriented correctly where it attaches to the back of the motor (motor is in the "park" position)?  I didn't note the position of the arm before I removed it, and don't know if it should by 180 degrees out.  Thanks.
