ballast resistor???in or out with msd 6013
« on: December 11, 2013 - 09:37:36 PM »
So I have purchased a 6013 msd. and their wiring set up for the coils. . I am going with an indy intake and carb setup.
couple of questions? The ballast resistor . ive noticed a couple of guys using it and some not. and how to hard wire in the msd to the factory wiring ... Looking for the best place to do it?

 Any help would greatly appreciated

The MSd typically controls voltage to the coils so no ballast is nessisary

I've always heard it said that you shouldn't use that constant voltage one on a street car.   :dunno:  I just used a stock electronic voltage regulator.  They are like 10 bucks on rockauto.com
