PCP Paint
« on: December 27, 2013 - 07:24:22 PM »
I hope all of you and your families are having a safe and happy holiday.  I thought I would drop you a quick line to ask a question. My wife bought me a garage shelf in the form of a 1970 Cuda' front end.  It is currently painted B5 Blue and since I have a compressor and a paint gun I thought I would try to paint it PCP to match my car. Is there a place I can get some PCP paint w/o breaking the bank? I see there is Dupli-Color DE1640 Ceramic Plum Purple Engine Paint available but before I went there I thought I should ask. Thanks

I Don't know about where you live but most paint shops will color match in an aerosol can. I had some paint mixed up for 22 bucks here in ottawa to paint my air cleaner in HEMI Orange. Good guys did it in less than an hour.

cj, that is it.  The headlights do work also.  It isn't a big shelf but it is pretty cool. I will definitely post some pics when it is done.

This is where I get my paint for my models.  You can get it in a can or in jars for airbrush:

Great referral to MCW paints.  When ordering the aerosol can, how many ounces does the can hold and how many cars can it paint?  For example 1/18 scale car.  Thanks.
