Just finally talked with my racer slant six buddy (he was in Vegas for the weekend)... he suggested that I pull the plugs and double check them... make sure nothing fried there... also suggests doing a compression test (even though he's 99% sure it's ok), but better safe then sorry! After all that, he's probably going to come up here Friday evening and take a look at things... see if we can't get it solved... I'll keep ya'll updated!! :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

After all you've been thru on her, she's finally talkin' back to you!! Way cool dude :patriot: I can't imagine things if you'd got a citation before she even left the garage...

I'd be on the front page of our local paper... that's for sure!! :fire: :fire:

Figured I'd better give an update... had my slant six racer buddy over after work last night... we fired her up (ran like sh!t this time!) and he was fiddling around with things... he motioned to shut it down and told me the bad news... turned out, I had 2 dropped cylinders....  :gripe: :gripe: I will NOW atest to CP's awesome knowledge of Mopar's... he's always saying don't put high performance plugs in old Mopars... this is why!!! As soon as one gets carboned on initial fire, it won't fire anymore... they are self-cleaning plugs, which means they have to fire hot, and fire EVERYTIME!! So, it was a trip over to Autozone for some new plugs (Champions - always use Champions!!) and wires... put those in, and hooked the timing light back up... we were about 9* advanced of where we needed to be and I couldn't retard the distributor anymore... so, we pulled things apart, I adjusted the bracket and we fired her back up... I roughly set the timing at idle and she's running pretty good.... I've mounted my tach and oil pressure gagues inside the car now, so I'm going to be hooking those back in today and doing some more tuning!!

More pics to come later today..... gotta clean up the wiring in the engine bay too...

Glad you got it figured out!  I was going to suggest wires as well just because it looked like you didn't have new ones on in your pics.

Remember , never buy bosch platinum plugs everybody!!

I've got a special treat of pics for you guys tomorrow!!!

Made some SERIOUS progress today... I love it when we've got 3 busy bodies working on the car at the same time...

Here's a little teaser... by next Sunday (the 17th), the car COULD be physically completed, minus some cosmetic items... I'll be starting on the interior install tomorrow, along with finalizing wiring, I'll get my driveshaft shortened this week, windows and what not will be installed next Saturday, and we need to fix the brake problem and we're just about all set... granted, this is if everything goes smoothly, which, we all know, it NEVER does!!!! :grinyes: :gripe: :grinyes: :gripe:
