Windshield Washer Bottle Advice
« on: February 17, 2014 - 11:57:37 AM »
Not interior, but not body either... Anyway, my 73 Cuda windshield washer fluid bottle looks like new; BUT the plastic is completely crazed with little cracks you can see in the plastic. I am afraid it has become brittle and will shatter at some point. Any advice. Use it? Replace it? Coat it with something?

Bought new in '71; I wanted the Challenger but they were $2850; too much $ so I got the 318, 3 speed on the floor, Twister Duster for $2100.

I'd replace it.  I think they are around $50.  Not cheap but not real expensive either.  I just read something on Moparts last week about plastics.  You can sometimes bring back some color and pliability to old plastics by boiling them in water.  I don't think it would hurt to try it.

Thanks. Mine is a manual so they tend to cost more.
