Just checking in
« on: February 08, 2014 - 09:33:54 AM »
Hi all

Just wanted to stop by and say hi to all my CC.com friends.

I have not been on any forums much for a while....the job search and dealing with the changes mentally has taken front and center.

It's a little depressing. Can't drive the car due to snow.  Can't work on it much due to not wanting to flare up back issues. Can't upgrade the engine as was my plan or upgrade anything like I usually do during the winter because of the job situation. Can't ride the motorcycle (usually a sure fire cure for the blues) because of ice and snow.

And the job search is just an endless day in and day out of searching job boards and and sending resumes.

Reading the forum here just bums me out because I want to be doing stuff on the car. LOL

I know it can be much much worse and that somewhere someone is having  horrible day or week or year right now, much worse than mine.   Still, it is hard to keep that in mind when you feel like you are stuck in neutral going no where fast.

So prayers going out for those having an even harder time right now with life and for me to see that it could always be worse.

Hope folks here are doing ok!

As an aside, I invited Mark Worman of Graveyard Cars to check out the forum if he has not yet. (I don't THINK he is a member here, but who knows, maybe I missed it.)  I connected with him through a social media board and told him how great the family here is.

Take care everyone and stay warm!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
