Hello! Thanks for taking in yet another diehard Mopar Fan! Hope everyone is well and has plenty of Mopar stuff going on in their lives! Hope to make some new friends and connections on here! So far I love what I've seen compared to other Mopar forum sites. Can't wait to have more time to dig in and see everyone's pics and read their stories! I own several Mopars, but for this site here I'll talk only about my 1971 Dodge Challenger. From the factory it was a 383/727 Butterscotch machine, with a nice trim package. Not an R/T car but close. It's the only one I've seen in person that has the wide factory chrome around the nose. Since it left the factory it's been used and abused. It's been painted several different times and different colors! It has been the afore mentioned butterscotch, as well as red, purple, and now orange. When I finish my restoration it will be a dark grey color, not sure which I'm going to choose just yet. I plan on building the 440 Mauler that Mopar Muscle Magazine built back in the early 2000's and I have a Keisler prepped TKO 5 speed. I want to do some autocrossing so I plan on having a Moser 60 rearend out back, tubular a-arms up front and coilovers and disc brakes all the way around! I've got the plan, just like many folks, I never seem to have enough funds to get it started! One day though...one day it will get done!
I live in Braselton GA, not too far from YearOne, I noticed they are one of the advertisers here on the site/forum. I love to attend their monthly carshows. I get to see some of their creations running up and down the streets here from time to time! Like the Extreme Lee! and as well as the Hemi Challenger that was in Fast Furious 2. So I like to tell folks it's our own little hot rod mecca here in Braselton, especially since YearOne came to town! We have a lots of different types of racing to choose from here in North GA. We have Atlanta Dragway just up the interstate, we have Road Atlanta with all the road course racing you can handle, and of course plenty of round track, both dirt and paved, ovals to choose from not too far from us in any direction you pick! As soon as I have time and resources I'll post some pics and try to get more involved on here, until then take care and have a great day/week/weekend!
