Am I missing some drain lines that keep water from coming into the cabin? I am missing the hood cowl weather stripping, is that an easy find and replacement piece?

The water that that enters the room where the wiper mechanism is mounted, will drain the down the bulkhead....test this using a garden hose. So not worry about gaskets
My guess is you have some rotten metal "under" the aft upper part of your front fender...
Can look for this through your windscreen... see pic

I don't think that could be possible. I just had the car restored. The only rust I had on the car was in the rear qtrs. any other possible origins for the leak?

Get two guys and a hose.  You'll find it pretty quick.

Air vents and windshield channel are also spots for rust/leaks. If you just had the car restored I would be bringing it back to whomever did the work!!!

Mine did the same thing. When they did the body work they eliminated the cowl vent drain on the firewall near the fuse block. The cowl vent was flooding causing water to leak inside the car.

Cool. I saw the car completely stripped and the only rust on the car was behind the hood hinges, the outer wheel wells and lower quarters. So, it's my quess that the cowl vent tube is missing.it only came down in one spot, like under a faucet. It landed directly on top of my left foot.

There is not a Cowl Vent Tube.  Take the Cowl covers off and look down in there.  Make sure the drain hole is not clogged nor is there a rust hole.  Water sits in there and it can rust out I've attached a photo of the firewall that someone had posted years before and it shows the Cowl Drain.  My guess is it's clogged.

"Cowl vent tube" ? What kind of car are we talking about ? A & B Bodies have wiper pivot seals that leak into the car. :dunno:

Since it landed on your left foot, it may be the rubber seal that seals the heater box to the cowl above the little door that you can open for a breeze when you're driving. It's basically an oval and seals the standpipe flange in the cowl off. There'd have to be a fair bit of water going in and the drain either not working or bunged to run over the standpipe flange as it's about 3/4" high. Like the man said, get in and under and get a bud to run a hose over it and then you'll know for sure. Good luck

Here is a few shots of your left foot area, both inside and outside with everything removed.
