1970 challenger 383 4b rt 3 speed like green

I just recently bought this car I'm really excited but I don't like like green and I want to keep this car but I don't want it to lose value since I'm thinking of painting it black I do have all vin in tact on dash two doors and on body and also fender take I don't have original tranny or engine I would like or opionon on color and what is the car worth if I do a show room quality restoration he is the fender decoder

If you're keeping the car, it really doesn't matter how much it will be worth (to someone else).  If you are planning on doing the resto with your checkbook, you'll put more money into it than you can sell it for.  If you're going to do a lot of the work yourself, it will be more rewarding, both emotionally and financially.
As far as the color goes, for resale value, the original limelight/sublime will probably give you the better return.  It might not be your cup of tea, but the sublime is a pretty desirable color.

But if you did it Black, that would be for your pleasure, someone later on may want to buy it and be excited that it was orginally a sublime car and you would still have no trouble selling it later on.

The car is 1 of 355 made with the 383 3spd.

With a full OE style restoration the car will NEVER be worth what you have invested money wise. A color changed won't hurt the value as much as being a none numbers matching, no BCS, 3spd car will.

The only contributing factor that will make this car desirable is the colour. You change that, and you destroyed all your chances at selling the car for any decent money once restored.

If it's a solid car and you want something to drive and enjoy, I say buy it, and build it any way you want and enjoy the heck out of it. That's what the hobby is supposed to be about.

If you want a restoration project as a sound investment...I say move along and find a better canidate.
