I used to use AuctionSentry to snipe, which worked great outside of the renewal process...   cost a few bucks...

aarufast, thanks for pointing that out.
But as Alan mentioned, I am really after red right now as that is my next build.  No matter how slow of a build it is.

I also try to collect any of the colored items I can.  Tan, Burnt Orange, Blue, and even green and gold if the parts are in good shape.
I really like the colored interiors.

Reds are the hardest to find.

That's a sweet piece.  Hard to come by.  Especially with the 8 track.

Are you putting your full interior back to Burnt Orange?

Thats what I'm hoping to do.  waiting for paint shop to call to remove complete dash and dye dash and paint metal frame. Not holding my breath....
I have the special trim that is under dash in original color but the end is broken that goes under 8 track bezel over to glove box.  Previous
owner replaced the trim with black.
Haven't found sunvisors in burnt orange.
Herb's parts is the only one that sells the Burnt Orange color.

This is Tuff340Gran Coupe. Sorry you lost it, but I spotted this by accident. What really sucks is way back in fall 1989 there was a 6 cylinder 70 Chally in a junkyard near me that was rusted badly, was red with red interior. Never took anything off that car except the drivers side door outer handle. Seats were shot as well as the door panels. No console, but I remember the dash trim, a pillars, back panels & kick panels were decent. Wish I knew then what is rare today, that car lasted there 2 years before it was crushed. Funny it had a red steering column, standard dash & AM radio. God where'd Doc Brown & the Delorian when you need it!

Wow !

I have yet to witness an E body in a junk yard.

Crushed huh?  That really sucks.
So that's why they are such hard parts to find now.   Junk yards !

Hey Tuff, did you take any pictures by any chance buddy ? :dunno: I would love to see the steering column in it being Red, it is hard to determine what got colour coded to what options, i think Rallye clusters got Black column in Challengers and Barracuda with Rallye got Red, but a red column in a standard cluster car regardless if it is Challenger or Barracuda. :2thumbs:

Sorry to hear that you lost  that auction .  It's  always hard. On eBay ,this will not make you feel any better. But  before  I brought my car the owner told me that the  plastic  around the 8 track was cracked  so I look and  look  and it is black and not as rare as your red  pce  but  N.O.S. and I still had to pay  $ 350 .00 US dollars.  And that was  two years back. . P.S keep looking  cheers .  :aussie:
