1970 challenger, Every time that you open the hood, and shut it the rear of the hood stays up. You have to go to the back of it and push it down. now I just bought new ones,painted them ,put them on and they do the same thing...Paint in them?,or that they need to be used more. I greased them up before install.Or is it my bad luck!!!?

It's out of adjustment.   That's why the holes where the bolts go though are so big.   It's opposite of what you think.  Adjust up to make the hood go down.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
