Hi
My name is Thomas, I am 30 years old. I was in school as car mechanic and then working by VW/Audi. I like these cars very much and still like them, had a lot of them of course. Started with a "Boy racer" VW Golf MK2 G60, then had some Sciroccos and Jettas, but also few Audis like the S4 Biturbo or the S6 V8. Beside i had a real classic, the Audi Quattro (Urquattro, Rallye Quattro). I build this car up from the bottom, started at school and was owner for 10 years almost. If somebody is interested in this car, you can see this car on youtube;
But after all this year the car began to bore me and i sold it for a good price. Even if i like the German cars very much, i always dreamed about the American cars... know the Challenger from "Vanishing Point", the Trans Am from "Smokey and the Bandit" and also the third gen Trans Am from "Knight Rider". I really love these cars... so last year's i had a Trans Am GTA, sold it very good and then bought a Turbo Trans Am from 89. Liked them very very much but had to sell but i wanted to made a dream come true; A 70 Dodge Challenger.
So i sold everything i had, bought a '85 Audi Quattro for 600 Bucks and then finally bought a 70 Dodge Challenger Last year...
About the car; It's not in original condition and not a matching number car. But i didn't want. I was looking for a car where some custom work is allowed. So i found a 70 Challenger but had to pay a lot of money for it (50k USD) now i am broke
So now the Challenger was built in Swiss. It was a 340 but the pre owner has a lot of work or money put into it. That means the car now has a 440 engine, build up completely 3000 miles ago (keith block pistons, hughes roller cam, edelbrock heads, speed demon carburetor, magnaflow exhaust...), a rebuild 727 Torque Flite with 2200 Stall and a 8 3/4 rear diff with 3.23 locked. The engine room is painted new (and nice). 8 years ago the car became new side body panels, new fenders and new paint shop (wild berry from chrysler). At all very nice condition, only the interior need some work (Some gauges doesn't work, doesn't look very nice at all). I really love the car an i want to put some work in to it and be carfull with this baby!!
Last year i drove the challenger already and this winter i started with some things... it's nice to work on it, everything is simple. But sometimes its easier to ask somebody and that's why i am on this forum now
So hi to everybody, i hope you forgive my lack of language skills (never learned English professionally, only at MTV and so on
) and hope i can get some help or give a good advice to somebody from you
.
Regards, Tom
