Formula 1!

though it may be sacrilege here, I am a huge f1 fan and so excited about the start tomorrow!  anyone else with me?  sounds like red bull is struggling, and while im not real high on lewis Hamilton, sounds like he is poised to break Sebastian's dominance which will be welcome.  Read Williams may be a dark horse this year which would be awesome too.  I only ever watch Australia and Monaco live, but ill have a cigar and some beers ready to go at 11pm pst tomorrow!

I haven't taken much time to get into it but I do catch it once in awhile. I did get to go to the Miami race once, awhile ago. That was pretty impressive live. Plus anything for a few beers, Enjoy  :drunk:

I used to go every year in Montreal untill that one year where they skipped it. I am not a giant fan of watching it on TV but seeing it in person is a complete different experience. I love the technology in F-1 and love reading about it.

I saw their very first practice session at Indy. Two things stood out. 1. When they came into the first chicane it sounded like their fuel mapping was messed up because of how much missing and coughing the engines were doing. Then I realized it was the rev limiters/traction control doing its job. 2. When they went came out of (Indys turn 1) and went down the front straight there was a huge cloud of black smoke around the car right before they made their turn back into the infield portion. I then realized it was brake dust due to the heavy braking.

Its a shame they quit going to Indy but when you piss off as many fans as they did, its not surprising.

Yea I watched it , great racing ,the turbos sound cool ,and the movie grand prix was on too.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Mopars have a similar longitude torsion bar suspensions similar to the F1 cars of the past ,and maybe still use the same geometry to keep the suspension parts lower :stirpot:

F1 is the best!  :ylsuper: :ylsuper:
Can't wait for qualifying tonight!!
Mash the gas and turn left is not for me. You gotta be able to turn left AND right in the same race. Hitting the other car is not cool either IMO.
Nascar at Sonoma and the Bud at the Glen is awesome though!  :ylsuper:
Come on Kimi!!

I like Formula 1, the engineering in the cars is awesome.

If you have ever driven a shifter cart, then you have a small feeling on what a F1 car can do. They decelerate very quickly, accelerate even quicker, and turn like they are on rails.  I have been to Indy twice to watch them run, what a rush.

Should be a more wide open field with exciting racing this year. Too bad the cars look and sound like crap this year.

I watch it sometimes if I happen to catch it on, incredible cars and drivers but to much follow the leader. Hopefully the new will make for more than one or two passes per race and better competition.

Will there ever be another legend like Michael Schumacher or Arton Senna.

I watched the day he crashed.  :worshippy   :angelwings:

well that was a heck of a race.  cars are pretty ugly, least the noses, and they sound awful, but a couple of new drivers really stepped up.  this season should be good.
