Help, emergency brake rear cable length

Guys, this is my first ebody build and just mocking up my inline tube cuda emergency brake line kit.

These rear cable lengths seem too long to me, can someone chime in with pictures of their cable setup? 

Maybe I'm missing something.

If your car is a 71' and on up, there are 2 different hook lengths the e bodies used.
A short and a long.

The hook hangs from the trans mount and the cable runs thru it to each side. 

This is an issue I have to do as well.
I'll be putting on the short hook soon and that should make it right after adjusting.
Burdar sent me a cable and it looks right. But it just needs the short hook.

Well I'm referring to the two cables that connect to the rear drums, it seems like my intermediate cable will be ok.

I believe your rear cable lengths are correct and are done so for rear axel travel.

for what ever reason no one seems to be able to take an original cable system & make a replacement the same length , there are at least 4 different set ups , 70 Cuda & Chall 3 cable systems which are different lengths due to wheel base & the 71-74 4 cable system again different due to wheel base

thanks for your replies guys.  I had read so much about size issues with the front and intermediate cables, but not so much on the rear cables.  good to get some validation that the length of those seem okay - thank you.  i'll be doing more work this weekend to validate the intermediate and front cable are going to fit properly.  i double-checked what i ordered and received, and it's what inline tube recommends for my year.

The rear lengths seemed long on my car too (Dr Diff 10.7"rear disc kit on a 73).  I didn't try cycling my rear suspension to see what the cables looked like with the suspension extended.  The cables seemed to stay clear of anything I would worry about.

 You got that right!

Mock-up the whole system and make sure it's going to work.  I had problems with the intermediate cable.  I've got a mixture of Fine Lines, Inline Tube and original parts on mine to get it to work.  It was a PITA!
