70 Challenger R/T grille
« on: April 03, 2014 - 11:37:20 AM »
I am repainting the grille for my 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.  The question I have is about the center section or egg crate. Should this be left the aluminum or be painted black. There may be some black paint on the front edge of the egg crate, but the slots show no signs of paint. On the other black painted area of the grille, should it be a flat or low gross black paint. Thanks, Gary

The egg crate is unpainted and the surround on an R/T would be low glass black. Not sure what the technical term is ... satin or trim paint.
