6 speed

Hey everyone. I'm very new to the site, not so new to E Bodies. I just swapped the direct 4 gear in place of that dog New Process A-833 overdrive in my '71 R/T, but I never realized just how priceless that overdriven 4th was. It now revs at 3600 on the highway, not good. Can anyone give me any information on swapping in a Borg Warner six speed out of a wrecked Camaro? Topping out at 90 mph ain't fun, and a six speed would be the first step into turning my old Dodge into a exotic-murdering dream car. Sometime I'll tell you guys the reason I did this swap in the Kill Stories section. It's more of a killed story, really, and it involves a riced-out Five-Oh. Sad, sad, sad. Talk to y'all later.

I have a B/W 6 speed tranny out of a Camaro ( can I say that here ? ) also.  If I find any info on swapping it into an E body, I'll let you know.  The fun part will be making a new shifter handle for it.

I don`t expect that the 6 speed will last long , they are weak & don`t live long in the Camaros

6 speed would require major surgery to your tranny tunnel.  Have you looked at keislers 5 speed yet?  They supply everything you need to convert from a 4 speed or automatic.  My 94 T/A ate 6 speed trannys like they were nothing.  I had 3 warranty replacement trannies before it was totaled.
