Barracuda Emblem
« on: April 17, 2014 - 12:23:31 PM »
On a 1970 Barracuda there is a Barracuda emblem on the front fenders ( see picture ). Was this emblem only on certain cars? Cuda, Barracuda, ect.....? Thanks all.   :wavingflag:

The Barracuda script emblem came on all BH barracudas and not on real BS cudas.  The emblem on the bottom of it was specific the BP grand coupe models.

From what I have seen, "Barracuda" emblems were only on the Gran Coupe and the Barracuda 2-Door Hardtop models. If the car was a CUDA, it would have the matching emblems of "CUDA" on the interior door panels and the rear panel. As with most Mopars there are always exceptions to the rule. One for instance, is my very early production 1971 Gran Coupe with the "BP" on the Vin #. The rear panel was a regular panel, thus did not get the Gran Coupe specialized Trunk lock cover. It also has a 1970 trunk pan!

I've seen barracuda convertibles with the script emblem as well.  Emblem was not limited to just hard tops  :2cents:
