Can glazing putty go over high build primer?
« on: April 25, 2014 - 10:07:53 PM »
I got the body epoxy primed and then high build primer sprayed.  I'm block sanding with 400 grit paper after spraying guide coat.

I have some low spots of about .003 I'm guessing.  Should I apply ultra smooth glazing putty (evercoat is what I have) or spray another coat of high build? I think it might be 2 coats to get it to be smooth.

Also have 1 or 2 places that are too high.  Should I tap it with a hammer to lower them?
I sprayed 3 coats of the high build on the first coat spray .  Used 1/2 gallon non the body, less hood and trunk lid.
Can I apply the evercoat over the low spots that have the high built and the guide coat showing?
Thanks,
Dan

The class I took thorough the local community college said that its ok and that HE has used it on top of base coats if just repairing a small area so he didn't break through the paint and possibly cause a hot spot behind the repair
