Power Windows
« on: July 09, 2007 - 07:23:50 PM »
Hi,

I am putting power windows in my Cuda.  The question is where does the harness exit from the door and enter into the side of the firewall.  On the drivers side there is a hole for the mirror bracket and a large dimple on the firewall above the kick panel.  Right area?

Second question is whether there is an after market harness that I can use.  Does not have to be perfect but hopefully runs the same amount wires and hooks up to the stock switches.

Appreciate it.

I used the dimples as locators. I went to the wrecking yard and got some S-shaped rubber conduit/boots to use for mine. They were accordian style and worked out pretty well.

Hi,

I will drill out there as well.  What did you use for a harness?  Do you have any pictures of your install?

Thanks.

I think the rubber boots came out of a compact Ford. I used Electric Life regulators and OEM switches so they look original. I had to make up my own harness and patch it into to a new accessory fuse block

I realize this post is several years old but the pics are gone and I'm needing help.

miketyler (or anyone else) can you please repost pics of what you did for the wiring harness under the dash that is patched into the fuse block and goes to each side. I have all the wiring harness for each window except the part under the dash to each side connectors.

Thanks,
Tom

But I have both door/hing point wiring.
I was inquiring about the wiring under the dash that goes to each side.
