Hello to my fellow SWEDES. Have any of you in SWEDEN seen this car or know who owns it? I got the pictures shown below from a gentleman named MIKAEL BERGMAN who lives in Sweden I want to include the story of this car in my storyboard of my original "GOLDFISH". I lost contact with him after I told him it was not an original G.C. car. I think he thought he hit the jackpot when he saw this car and I rained on his parade. PLEASE help me locate the owner of this car. PHOTOS BY MIKAEL BERGMAN.

I will give it a try but it's a long shot. I am Swedish but moved away from there years ago. Have friends who still has the "addiction" and I will check with them.
Should be other Swedish members that can help as well.

This Mikael is not the owner but sent you pics?
Got any other info?

moparstyle, here is what I know: First email I received:

Hi Bruce
Gary H from the 62-65 site sent me to you.
Ive found a golden commando in sweden,as far as i can see it´s authentic, and as far as the Little info i found out about it it´s been in sweden since at least the 80`s and you didn´t build period perfect race replica cars back then,at least not over here.I Think it´s a real  one. Ive got my hook out and trying to gather info about it.
What do you think??

Best regards Michael

 This was my reply :

Interesting find. The Golden
Commandos only made one "Goldfish" and the one I have has original documentation to verify that it is the original so I would have to say it is a copy, clone, replica, what ever word they use today. I am very interested in how close they got exact though. Can you get pics under the hood and of the interior and dash ? Can you feel the metal to see if you can tell if it's acid dipped?

Bruce  Lindstrom

I then sent him this followup:

Maybe you want to call me. If you haven't seen the car yet I have some questions you can ask the current owner to see how good of a job they did. Over here in the states the 80's were the clone years because the MOPAR muscle cars were getting thinned out and parted out. You took what you could get and it yours. My number is --------------. I answer the phone 24/7/365.

Bruce  Lindstrom

This was his response :

Hi
I got it confirmed,it´s a replica.
Thanks for the help anyway.

Best regards Michael

This was my reply :

No problem, I am still interested in the cars history. I would love to hear about the car and how it came about that someone replicated my car. It sounds like  it is a great story
that someone enjoyed the Golden Commandos enough to make a car like theirs and the length they went to match it. Would you please put me in touch with the owner by email ?

And my followup :

Mikael, I haven't heard back from you so I thought I would let you know again I am very interested in adding the story of how you found this car to my storyboard on the "GOLDFISH" and I would also like to ask you again if you could let the owner know I am also very interested in his story about his car. Your story along with the owners would be a great addition to all of the other historical documentation I have collected. I hope you see your way clear to providing me any info you have as I would also include it in any of the several magazine and book stories that are being done on the "GOLDFISH". Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon,

Bruce Lindstrom

And I have not heard back since. I'm sure he is disappointed he did not strike GOLD like I did so I didn't want to harass him so I'm trying to go around him. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Bruce, got a lead on the car trough a Swedish mopar blog. A gentleman (not this Mikael) gave me name and location of owner and car.
He says the car been restored (cloned?) in the 90's, used as a daily driver and then parked outside the last 10 years. Current owner did the resto and is a true Mopar guy. So, looks like he made a copy of your car for fun.

I asked for any contact info and if I get it, I will hand it over to you and you take it from there.

Bruce, heard from the gentleman i mentioned above but unfortunately no further contact info on the owner.
The owners name is fairly common so a search on the Swedish "yellow pages" gave me 11 hits.
I will PM you the name and location on the owner and if you want, can send you the list from yellow pages as well. Could be an interesting language lesson.

As i am not in Sweden, maybe some of our other Swedish members could assist with making some phone calls?
