Here is the question it asked (this was sent to me by someone at work)

What is true about the 1971 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda convertible?
☐ A) The highest price ever paid for one at auction was $120,000 (18.3% of respondents)
☐ B) There was only 7 made (31.3% of respondents) (the correct answer)
☑ C) The Plymouth Barracuda never came with a Hemi (30.2% of respondents)
☐ D) The engine was known to overheat and explode (12.0% of respondents

Now I said C because in 1971 could you get a Barracuda with a HEMI? I thought it was only 'cuda's? Apparently the correct answer is B only 7 were made...

experts want to chime in?

Actually 'cuda is part of Barracuda model line too, so it's how it counts...

And B can't be the correct answer in any case, because there was 2 Canadian car too.

I agree!

A) the highest price was over a million +
B) I believe there was 11 total
C) You are correct that the 'cuda was only available with a HEMI and not a barracuda if you break it down like that
D) Some of them did explode with power  . . . .

There were only 7 convertible hemi 'Cuda's built with automatics so that's probably where that number 7 came from.  The other 4 convertibles were manual 4 speeds so B is not correct as that makes 11 convertibles with hemi's.

"explode with power..."  :roflsmiley:  I like that!

Yep, 11 is the magic number: 7 US, 2 Canadian, and 2 international (France). So maybe the listed answer was referring to the ones made for the US? Who knows? But 11 is the generally accepted magic number ... unless you believe in the story of the mysterious long lost and resurrected 12th one? http://www.cudaworld.com/71HemiCudaTribute/index.htm

re: 1971 hemicuda convertibles built for International Orders

There were three built and sold new at Chrysler of France. The original French order documents and receiving documents show all three VINs and much more information.

There are 12 "known" legitimate VINs.
7 built for USA Specifications
2 built for Canada Specifications
3 built for International Specifications

I also know of several fake cars that have beautiful art work that look like original VIN plates and Data Plates.

Don't be surprised if another legitimate International Order car becomes publicly known in the next several years.
