Ashamed to ask, but ...
« on: May 12, 2014 - 10:17:11 PM »
Can't find any info on a reproduction rear panel (1973 cuda ) - assuming its cardboard? - that would sit on the rear deck where the stock speaker holes are?  Bought the car disassembled and don't have the piece.

Help!  Pictures of one and any info on where to buy?

I think what you are looking for is called a deck filler panel. Roseville has it.

Nigel at National Moparts has them, but either way shipping something that big is going to be expensive. Make sure if you need a trunk divider panel as well, to ship them at the same time. :2cents:

No reason to be "Ashamed" to ask any question here.

These are questions we have all asked!

Being cheap and not wanting to pay for shipping on what is essentially a piece of cardboard, I made one from a piece of hard fiberboard from Lowes. Works great.

Bought new in '71; I wanted the Challenger but they were $2850; too much $ so I got the 318, 3 speed on the floor, Twister Duster for $2100.

I ain't done yet.

Call and plan with a vendor who frequents a mopar show/swap near you; meet with him and save shipping.
That's what I did.
