Organasol Gloss

Anyone know the gloss level of Organasol?

If you want the 88% correct textured finish you must use DDL9355 Lacquer. 88% correct because the texture additive changed slightly from the orig. If you want the catalyzed, semi-gloss, smooth sheen finish enamel it's DCC9355...

You must lay the paint down wet or the texture will stand up instead of lay down and you will have an extremely rough finish that attracts everything.

Use the slowest thinner you can find and add some retarder as well if it is above 80 degrees. If possible use over black primer.

Very interesting:   I had forgotten about the texture and was focusing only on the gloss level as I can adjust gloss level with flattener additive.   Looks like Ill be going to Year One

Which leads to another question; 

I have done allot of automotive painting over the years, (I started with laquer in the ealy late 70's!), and whether laquer, enamel, adjusting the gun  (Fluid, pressure and pattern) and air temp results in proper finishing.

Too dry, orange peel, etc, is typically improper gun adjustments or improper temps or reducer 

That being said, what type of actual "finish" should be obtained.  (I guess the best way to describe what I am asking is should you be able to actually "feel" a texture)

Very little texture.  Most cars you see have WAY too much texture.  I see quite a few where a towel would leave behind lint if you rubbed it across the finish.  It shouldn't do that.
