True.

I tend to not be a fan of poly transmission mounts, however. This is because if you take some flex out of the mounting system at this point, you run the risk of the aluminum trans case becoming the flex point and cracking it if a motor mount fails.

$100 Shumacher Torque Strap is a great device!
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

that would work, but the torque strap is adjustable, with rubber busings.

I've made my own with two $5 rod ends and a piece of pipe. Looks more purposeful than chain, although I have used chain before as well.

Fixed! I installed the poly mount and made things worse as the old mount had some up and down movement to it the new mount raised up the tail of the trans and moved the whole exhaust into the t bars and frame. so........ I lowered the transmount and cross member some and found enough room.
took the car for a spin and no driveline issues for what I could tell. :bigsmile:
