« on: April 07, 2014 - 08:38:41 AM »
ok here we go...replacing hedman headers with tti...left side fits great plenty of room...right side not so much...I have attached a pic..is this common?..it figures I have problem as of course I went the direction of spending the money so I wouldn't have a problem..this was the erea where the hedman fit great! (the only erea)...I can tell ya at this moment I'm regretting the tti's..really frustrated...looks like schumaker has shims..but it looks like it will take at least 1/2..wth!! argh!!!

Loosen the motor mounts and reseat the engine. Then add shims if necessary.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Mounts can be a problem too , 40 years old they compress , new they may not be made to the exact thickness , & often the engine can be twisted with both mounts loosened , sounds like you solved it anyway .
