A 727 question

I have dropped the valve body out to install a new shift shaft seal, the seal I removed was 1/4" thick, and when pressed into the housing was flush at the top, the new seal, much better more robust seal is approx 5/16" high and sits slightly proud of the trans housing, will that be an issue, I dont think it will be, can someone advise by chance please.?

As long as the rubber seal portion is seated, no issue
