8 3/4 YOKE SPLINES
« on: June 26, 2014 - 10:09:14 AM »
Does all fine spline 8 3/4 rearend yokes have the big u-joint?  If i have big u-joint yoke can it be adapted to smaller driveshaft joints. I see mopar performance has some type of kit.

No.  I've got three 8 3/4 center sections.  Two are the 489 case and one is the 741 case.  All have the fine spline yoke.  All take the small U-joint.

I agree small or large U joint yolks are available in 29 or 10 spline but it is fat easier to use a conversion joint instead of swapping the yolk , on a 489 this can destroy the gears if the crush sleeve is not replaced & torqued properly
