Radio question

I am looking at buying this radio used. http://www.shop.allclassiccarradio.com/1970-71-Mopar-E-Body-Aux-AM-FM-Stereo-Radio-ACCR-temp8.htm Their website lists a radio for 70-71 and another for 72-74. Does anyone know what the difference would be? Will the 70-71 radio fit properly and work in my 74?

If you do buy one let me know what you think.  A friend of mine bought one from them for his Camaro and it was really cheap looking, plastic buttons that broke easily.

I think this is the same one.  It's made by a company in Tampa.  This has more details.

I contacted the company and the ONLY difference is that the 70-71 radio has chrome pushbuttons and the 72-74 radio has black pushbuttons. Now we know.

Personally, I would send out your original radio to Ward's and have them do an FM conversion on it.  It will look stock and have AM and FM capability.  It will also have RCA jacks in the back so you can hook up other equipment to it.  It will cost less then that unit too.

My car had an aftermarket radio in it when I bought it. The original is long gone.

I bought one last winter to replace my factory AM through Classic Industries when they had a 20% off sale. The sound is really good. BUT !!!......  The button presets do not last and the freq indicator seems to get lost until I disconnect the power, then it does back. 92.1 is my favorite station. Sometime that's where the pointer is and sometimes its all the way to the left and sometimes its all the way to the right and sometimes its who knows where. Its doesn't take up near the space of the original "brick"  though.

Is there anyway to hook up a USB cable on an Ipod to these reproduction radios ?
