Replace all rear Sheet Metall

I found a 70 Challenger R/T in a bad Contition.



I will Replace the complete rear Sheet Metal of my 70 Challenger.
The Trunk Floor and Floor extensions
Left and Right full Quarter Panel
Deck Filler Panel
And rear taillight Panel.
All Parts are from AMD



It is better to change only one Panel at one Time? And then the next Panel? (Do not lost the Bodyline)
Or it is better to remove all the worn Panels (this will give me more room for Media Plast)







I have Weld a Frame with 12 Point's to holt the Challenger Body in Place.
And a rotisserie that hold the Frame and the Challenger in Level

That's pretty much what I'm doing with my Challenger and I also used AMD parts. I cut it all off, except the frame rails and upper trunk panel. Beware the fit of the outer and inner wheelhouses! If you line up the fixture holes of them, they won't fit at all. I called AMD and they told me to just set them inside the 1/4 panel and try to fit them to it, from there! Jesus! I'm a licenced bodyman and still had a hell of a time to do it. Be prepared to spend a lot of time fitting and removing panels. Once I had the wheelhouses 1/2 sorted out, I installed them to the trunk floor which I'd put in first and pre-fitted. By trial hanging of the 1/4 pnls, I got an idea where the trunk extensions went and fitted them. NOTE: When you try fit the 1/4's, make SURE you also fit the rear valance, because if you don't, I can pretty well guarantee it won't fit later. I bought a box of Clecos AND #8-1/2" screws and several packages of 1/8" drill bits- believe me, you'll use them and had all of it on and off at least a dozen times before I was happy and began welding. Take 100 photos of every section of the original car BEFORE you cut anything and measure 25 times before you cut/weld. Take your time and I'd hang the doors to make sure your new 1/4's match the bodylines as you mentioned. You can also use the old mounting points as a pretty good place to start. I also had the deck lid on the car and that's a necessity to get your gaps fitting well. Good luck!  :cheers:
