WIW: Selling my 71 CUDA. Asking for your input.
« on: July 25, 2014 - 03:25:06 PM »
Hello Everyone,
I thought I would throw this out here and get your input.  I have finally come to grips to actually sell and cannot determine a sale price.   I have surfed the collector car value sites and general classified sites and feel I'm in the range.
I had posted here back in April for $67K.  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=98804.0
I backed off from advertising it once I learned it was a white billboard car and the rarity.(and had second thoughts)  :pullinghair:
From what I can determine, a B5, 4spd with black interior and white billboards is very rare. Anyone have any idea how many were made?
I may have someone interested around this price. I definitely do not want to leave money on the table if it is worth more by chance. Or, miss a sale.
I am thinking of taking it the Nats next month.
Any input would be appreciated.
Rick

A fully restored stock original 71 340 Cuda with similar options would fetch $60K-$65K......With the modifications you have, including the wrong engine etc...If you have any offers over $50K...I would take it and run.... :2cents:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Anlauto informed me of the correct fender code for the billboards. Was much appreciative to him.

The best advice I can give is to put the billboard on before advertising it or taking it to the show to sell.

That will go a long way in the car selling itself. Especially if you let everyone know it's an original white billboard car.
