front fender vibration
« on: July 27, 2014 - 06:18:33 PM »
Did check and did not come up with an answer. When I drive my car at about 30 mph and up the whole front end (fenders and hood) shake. There is no shake in the wheel or internally. It is a visible shake and is quite bad. The fenders are tight and all fender bolts are in place. The hood and fender gaps do not move or change. any suggestions?

 :iagree:
tire separation or bent rim.

Check the universal joints also.

I will get the tires balanced and see if that is the cause.
Thanks and will let you know

Balancing may not help , if you have BFGarbage tires they will be out of round by as much as 3/8" even when new so mack sure they are round Before you waste time balancing them

I'm going out on a limb here with a real stretch, but what condition are your front frame rails in.

Bolt the shock support to the top inner fender and rivet the entire upper control piece to the inner fender. That got rid of my slightly noticeable fender shake at high speed on less than smooth highways and windy mountain passes.
