Carlisle hotel question
« on: October 05, 2015 - 10:53:55 AM »
I'd like to go to Carlisle next year. I haven't been there in over 10 years. I was looking at the hotel recommendations and some of you like the Radisson West and Radisson Park. It looks like they are about 15 miles from Carlisle. Any popular hotels closer that you recommend?

I've been trying to do what it sounds like you're trying to do for a while. I've had no luck finding anything close that was affordable but still had high quality. More to the point, I've found things that were inexpensive, but they've all ranged from poor to lousy.

If you're not looking for fancy I always stay at the Motel 6 on Rt. 11 only 2 miles from the show :dunno: In the last ten years they've built a new Holiday Inn across the street and a Best Western next door...you could try them as well....

This year...walk-ins were getting rooms for the weekend no problem at Motel 6.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Carlisle is a small town, so most Hotels are further East towards Harrisburg. I know 15 miles might sound like a lot, but once you get to the Turnpike, it will fly by. Even if you take Rt. 11 in, it won't be a bad drive early in the morning, but coming out might be a another story.

I know I'm not of much help, but this is the story as I know it.
