Installing eveery thing finding issues "help"
« on: August 17, 2014 - 01:38:32 PM »
So I am in the process of installing all the clutch components.  I believe I have them all in correctly, but the pedal dosent come back up.  you can feel it go down past where the over center spring pulls it up, an i think it feels like the throughout bearing is engageing the preasure plate, but the pedal just stays there.  It is a new mccloud plate new z bar, rod, bushings, adjuster etcetc.... Can the over center spring be in wrong? is there another spring besides the clutch for return and over center?  I am at a loss.

Do you have the spring from the clutch fork to the bellhousing installed?

The pressure plate should be providing spring action too. So the spring and pressure plate should return the pedal.
Might be an adjustment either at the pedal linkage or clutch fork rod.
Can you provide a pic of the pedal and spring under the dash?
Also a pic of the spring down at the clutch fork?

If that clutch is a diaphragm style clutch you need to remove the over center spring.
