Cooler line fittings

Can anyone tell me what are the specs for the fittings on the cooler lines where they attach to a 727 trans? I need to either make up new ones and reroute them go with stainless braded hose? I thats an option. Anyone tried flex lines?

My plan is to use repro lines from Fine Lines.  I'm going to cut the lines off up front.  I'll re-flare the ends and run braided line off of them to the coolers. 

The lines should be 5/16".

I just ran AN-6 lines from trans over to chassis rail and forward to cooler, from memory I just needed a couple of 1/4 NPT??? adaptors for the trans, cant remember exactly sorry

Well thats good enough for a start crash340, Budar, I cant order pre bent lines up here in Northern canada, or atleast I cant afford the shipping, last time I tried was 300-400 frt on one fuel line! So I either have to bend my own or go braided.

Once the straight adaptors (NPT to AN) were screwed into the trans, I used a 90 deg at the rear and a 45 at the front, steel core rubber hose with nylon braiding, (out of asia from ebay, I have the same issues with freight and item costs out here in  ) the lines and fittings were like $150 shipped. As much as I hate buying like that from there, the same thing locally would be nearing $400 and last time I checked I didnt have a tree sprouting $ bills in the back yard

I bought a braided line cooler kit from cope racing transmissions for $195, plus a couple of extra 90's to run from radiator then to cooler and back to inlet of trans. The fitting size in the trans and the radiator is 1/8" pipe thread. You'll need a 1/8" pipe thread to 6AN adapter fitting.
