Just ordered a FV-7 electric fuel pump cutoff switch. Activates in the event of a collision or rollover. Easy wire in to the ground wire of the fuel pump relay. Push button reset. Cheap insurance. Just a thought for everybody running an electric pump. Stay safe.
Race cars that I have run, installed an oil pressure-fuel pump shut off switch. I think Holley made it.
It bypasses the contacts with the start circuit, then closes the contacts when pressure builds to activate the FP relay.
If the engine dies, the FP shuts off.
I never did like those hidden Ford FP reset switches.
