Got my new sending unit installed. I did have to change the fuel line to 3/8 rubber hose where the 2 steel lines connect but that wasn't a big deal. The original ground strap wasn't long enough due to a shorter fuel outlet line on the sending unit, so I had to make one that would work out of wire and hose clamps lol, but it does work now! Fuel gauge reads accurately as far as I can tell so far. And now I can use more of my gas, because I realized after (supposedly) running my car empty, I still had a 1/4 tank of gas because the old sending unit didn't allow the pickup line to go down far enough in the tank, the new one goes down much farther. The only other installation issue I had was installing the electrical connector (female) onto the fuel sending unit (male). The female end was loose, but I solved that by lightly tapping the female end on with a hammer, and now it fits fine. So while it was not as easy of an install as it could have been (as in everything went perfect) it wasn't to bad and I am really happy to have a working fuel gauge again. Assuming this unit lasts as long as the original did I will be really pleased with this piece lol. 10/10!
