Exhaust Manifolds
« on: September 27, 2014 - 05:12:33 PM »
Are all small block manifolds the same size wise, I know they will bolt up, but are the port sizes the same?

We can take all the hipo 340 manifolds out of the equation for purposes of this discussion

Thanks,

Jason

360 manifolds had larger exhaust ports than 318's.

the flange end is different also , virtually any 340 /360 manifold will bolt up though , Magnum manifolds are amount the best flowing manifolds ever made including the 340 hi po 68-70

Trucks included I have read.

I guess a trip to the wreckers is in order to see if any of the trucks there have 5.9s and manifolds left.

I am just tired of dealing with headers. The heat off the headers and blasting up on my feet and face was tough today, the won't seal up, always ticking away.  The cost of decent headers is crazy.  That and my car is just to load.  As well as it is working today, the heat and annoying tone of the exhaust, made it unpleasant to drive.

Lol,  I had it with headers too!  I had my 383 stroked to 496, and have manifolds, and still makes plenty of power, over 425 hp at the wheels. way more power then my built 383 with headers!
