To my knowledge the SS springs are made well , the Mopar HP springs are not

I have S/S springs on the back of my Scamp, and they really lifted the rear of the car (like "had to use 2" lowering blocks to get the tail lights out of the sky" lifted). Do they do the same on an E body? I'll be rebuilding both ends of the suspension over the Winter, just wondering what springs to use.

It would depend what you are using the car for , the SS springs are very good for traction & make it easier to offset the springs inboard for more tire clearance in the rear , they also have different spring rates but overall are designed to lift the rear  , Espo makes very good springs as well in different arcs for different ride heights .

I had the 3300lb SS springs on my '71.  It raised the rear very noticeably but my factory springs had definitely sagged.  When I used the upper holes on the front spring mounts, the rake of the car was a little tail-high but not bad at all.

You should consider going down to Denver Spring and having them make you a set for the exact height you want.  They did a great job on mine.
