I got a call as well and my wife actually accepted the offer.  So I accepted before they sent it to me, but it was the same kind of deal where they sent it and then we paid for it.

In the News was a little less pushy 17 years ago when my car was featured, they sent out a brochure & I declined, end of story, guess they have a new business plan... Buddy had his car featured in Hot VW's they hit him up too.... So figure they probably market to car owners of every brand & probably every major US automotive magazine....
