70-71 side marker and tailight harness on a 73 challenger
« on: October 07, 2014 - 10:55:21 PM »
When i converted my 73 to the 70 style side marker lights, i had to buy the correct harness for the side lights. I was able to use it just fine for the rear taillights, however when the lights come on, they all come on, which includes the clear reverse lens. Has anyone removed the inside lens with the clear reverse, and replaced it with the outside one? Will they fit? I haven't tried yet, but will when i get a chance. I like the look of all the taillights coming on, but i don't like the reverse lens lighting up.

I might be misunderstanding, but you have to have a clear reverse functioning to be street legal, at least in Canada, pretty sure in the US too? Don't think you can just eliminate it.
If the reverse is on when it is not supposed to be, check your NSS. :2cents:
