Wouldn't it make more sense to just pay the deductible and have the insurance company pay the rest to fix it......unless...

Or it was insured, he got a nice chunk of change to fix it and is dumb enough to unload it on ebay and pocket the money.

There is no way that much damage would be done rolling down a hill and hitting a tree.
This guy got out of control over steered into a tree and now wants to dump the car. That pic of the clutch fan into the radiator tells the entire story.
Looks like this one is a part out at this price.

In the fourth picture, looks like he lives on a pretty big hill. And the radiator does tell a story: engine wasn't running when it hit the fan. Not saying I know for sure, but seems plausible to me.
It doesn't take a big hill to get some speed built up... ask this guy...

Wow,
If the driver hadnt opened the door he/her might have gotten away with little or no damage, and maybe saved their job!

Yup, Engine was not running... I've seen plenty of radiator vs fan damage & when the engine is running your see rotational damage, that radiator has none...

Wow! And a stick car too. I wonder if the 4 speed is original?
Just curious, but if that car is worth $18K in that condition what is worth fixed?
