Stall speed question.
« on: October 25, 2015 - 02:07:10 PM »
OK, here's our question. Were going to put a 360 in the 67 Barracuda, stock 74 4 barrell motor runs good. Very strong. Using a 727 that has manual shift valve body. So would this transmission require a higher stall converter than stock ?  Also since its manual shift is the kickdown linkage still required ?  Thanks in advance

Higher stall wouldn't hurt, no need for KD linkage with manual valve body.

What rear gear ratio ?
the A body will be lighter than the vehicle the 360 ame out of & the 360 has better tq too so you may want to try it with the stock converter but as above 2200 stall will help
