Based on the msd website you should have only:
In a single 12 inch length of Super Conductor Wire there is only 40 - 50 ohms of resistance!
http://www.msdignition.com/Products/Spark_Plug_Wires/Universal_Wire_Sets/Super_Conductor/31183_-_Black_Super_Conductor_8_Cyl_Multi-Angle-HEI,_Universal.aspx
Set it to *lower* and see what the resistence is because 1.2 is in outter space!

That is not the wire I have; I have the black "street fire" ones. My meter does not have 50K setting; goes from 200 to 2000 to 20K to 200K.
I tried it on 200 and it went to 190 for a moment then dropped to one.

Bought new in '71; I wanted the Challenger but they were $2850; too much $ so I got the 318, 3 speed on the floor, Twister Duster for $2100.

I would use the 20k setting it should be reading approx 1/2 on the scale , if it is that low then maybe you have solid core wires
so yes drop to a lower setting to get a more accurate reading
