I am in need of the Challenger guru guidance.
« on: November 28, 2014 - 09:49:53 PM »
I need to know how the horn pad and all comes off my steering wheel in my 70. I got my new turn signal switch in and would like to get it put in tomorrow.

I am not at the car at the moment and would like to get a plan together before I get down there to work on it.

Does someone have the PDF of the steering column build I did many years ago?  Might help him if someone can post it.

Are you just replacing the chrome handle or the mech?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Wow... That was fast.. This site amazes me about the number of people who knows these cars. I have only really plaid with the A Bodys and BBodys. A - Affordable, B -  Big Body, E - Expensive.

At least that is what I found to be true about these cars..lol

Thank you for the help!!! Again...

If you're going all the way down to the turn indicator you'll want a puller to get the crush can off.  It's not hard to get down to the turn signal if you have a few tools and a little time.

I pulled the 3 screws out and got the 3 spoke pad out. But the horn button is still there. Presses down but does not come off.. Sorry for the 1000 questions battling some illness and time with my car is limited.

Just clips on, don't be afraid to pry it off. Then the horn switch screws on the wheel with three smalls screws and one wire.

You can make one with two pieces of threaded rod and a metal plate.
