Congrats on getting your car!!  Any e body is great, but a convertible thats been in your family since new is awesome!!!   To bad your dad let it go so long.  Good luck with the resoration.  At least the body still looks good.

 :iagree:Yep, that would be one to do some investigating to just see how rare it may be, sure seems to have the options that would make it a very low production # car. Invest in it for sure, you got a sweet ride there!

Hi,  Thats some car your Dad ordered,I,m glad you ended up with it.
I do have a few stats for your car so here goes.
These numbers are for 1971 challenger convertible only.

Of all the 71 challenger converts built.

7.2  %  came equipped with the wide nose chrome.
4.9  %  came with 340 engines
0.7  %  came with 340 / 4 sd
8.2  %  came equipped with the wire wheel hub caps
45.2 %  came eqipped with the body side moulding ( your picture looks like it has this)
I don,t know how many came in gold -sorry  ( if it were a 1970 I could )

Could tell you more if I had more info on your car,,sheet/tag (don,t need to know your V I N number)
