challenger wagon??
« on: November 16, 2014 - 08:49:10 PM »
My buddy sent me this today.  I have never seen seen this and I haven't seen it here.  I hope it isn't old news.  Looks real cool.  I love wagons!  I hope the rear roof is off of a mopar!!  Looks like it was done very well.  Would you drive it?  I would.

Its actually kind of an older pic. Those Kelly Charger tires on it, you can't get them any bigger than 215/60 these days. Its probably been floating around the web for ten years or so. It has been on this site several times over those years. Sadly, the roof is vintage Olds, of the Vista Cruiser persuasion.

A perfect replacement for a Magnum.  Why not?  I like it.  Put the Hellcat motor in it and see what the top speed will be?  I know the cadillac CTS-V wagon is faster around the track than the coupe or sedan.  The wagon back just might give the challenger a little more grip in the rear.  I really like the retro wood paneling on the brown wagon.  I think I like the charger front too, but the car does seem to be a bit confused.

The wagon is owned by a member(or he used to be)
As 4C said he owned a 4x4 General Lee,built his own Superbird(I saw that in person years ago at Carlisle)And many other cars.

For someone with a Magnum that has gotten into an accident, replacing the front end with Challenger parts would be pretty cool. A good friend of mine hit a deer with his Magnum recently. I tried talking him into upgrading to the newer and much better looking front end but he didn't.

I don't have  picture of a Magnum in front of me.  Would the body lines line up, and would the fender mount points be the same since it is the same chassis under there?  Interesting idea.  Might look real cool!  Who can make those pictures for us?

I always liked that purple wagon....Dream of restoring it to a more "stock" appearance.

Hey Alan, Do you mean that you would want to change the center caps on the wheels?   :poopoke:

I don't think the body lines would lend themselves to a bolt on conversions, butif you are handy with metal work, you could probably make it fit.
